Chocolate Chip Cookies

Notes: use REAL BUTTER, and don't skimp on the chips--the darker the better

1 c. softened butter
1 1/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 t. vanilla
2 eggs
3 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
25 oz. chocolate chips (or whatever various flavors you prefer)

• Preheat oven to 325. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper
• Cream butter and sugars
• Add vanilla and eggs and beat until combined
• Mix dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Gradually beat into dough
• Add chips
• Bake for 12 to 14 minutes (a little longer if you decide to make bigger cookies).

This should make 6 to 7 dozen
